Kirkin' of the Tartans

November 16, 2026
Service Begins at 10:30 AM
St. John's Presbyterian Church, Reno, NV

The Kirkin’ of the Tartans is a service that started in the United States during WW2 by the Rev. Peter Marshall, who was the Chaplain to the U.S. Congress. The tradition continues and we look forward each year to this service where we can share our heritage with one another by bringing a piece of our tartan to the service for the blessing. It is a celebration of our heritage and a celebration of one of the symbols of that heritage . . . the tartan.

Reception to follow. Bring your favorite shortbread to share.
